2010 -This Shared Dream Comes to Life

The foundation was established to promote better living conditions in four rural communities near Rancho La Paz.

2011

  • Authorization is obtained as an approved donataria (non-profit organization).
  • With funding from the Social Development Institute (Indesol) through the Social Co-investment Program, the rural natural medicine clinic was equipped in collaboration with Ecociudadanía del Futuro.
  • The foundation’s first programs were established in collaboration with CONACyT to obtain federal funds.

2012

  • Launch of the Nutrition Program in four communities, featuring healthy eating workshops.
  • Establishment of the Community Choir with the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA).
  • Opening of the Rural Natural Medicine Clinic, providing 889 consultations.
  • Funding secured from CONACYT and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).

2013

  • Concierto Tutti, featuring four communities: Mesa Rica, El Manzano, La Huerta San Agustín, and San José Potrerillos.
  • Research at IPN on 20 hydroalcoholic extracts and four medicinal honeys.
  • A homeopathic doctor from IPN begins work at the rural clinic in El Manzano.
  • The National Nutrition Institute and the National Institute of Public Health evaluate the health impact of interventions through epidemiological monitoring and neurodevelopmental tracking.
  • Grupo Valora assesses the impact of educational interventions.
  • The College of Postgraduates evaluates soil fertility and production improvements.
  • In collaboration with UAM Iztapalapa, we study fungal-plant relationships and their effects on active compounds.
  • Christian Felber, founder of the Economy for the Common Good model, visits La Huerta San Agustín.

2014

  • 855 beneficiaries across the three initial programs: Ecological Agriculture, Education, and Health.
  • Securing CONACULTA funding to strengthen the Music Program.
  • Funding for herbal remedy research in collaboration with IPN.

2015

Continued anthropometric measurements, breakfast distribution and educational reinforcement.

2016

  • First place for the short film “La fertilidad de la tierra” (The Fertility of the Earth) about Fundación Valle La Paz’s integrative project.
  • Guitar classes introduced.
  • First community concerts and musical collaborations.
  • Strengthening of the education program with support from SEP authorities.

2017

  • Nutrition Program suspended due to lack of funding.
  • Music Program continues with healthy snacks provided in La Huerta.

2018

  • Presentation of the epidemiological report by the National Nutrition Institute.
  • Choir participation in the International Earth Festival in Guadalajara.
  • Choir performance at the Valle de Bravo Book Fair.
  • Choir presentation at the Agriculture Festival in San Miguel de Allende.

2019

  • Integration of English workshops into the Music Program.
  • Partnership with PRISMA for specialized music workshops.
  • Choir participation in the Festival de las Almas.

2020

“Rescue the Community Choir” campaign launched due to funding cuts.

2021

  • Plan to relaunch school breakfasts with private donations.
  • Choir participation in Vivir Quintana’s video “Alerta”.
  • Acquisition of the first music classroom in La Huerta San Agustín.

2022

  • Renovation and opening of four dining halls (serving 175 students).
  • Guitar workshops in the Music Program.
  • Choir participation in the Festival de las Almas.

2023

  • Renovation and opening of two more dining halls (serving 290 students).
  • Workshops for preparing school gardens.
  • Music Program enrollment increases from 186 to 293 students.
  • Renovation of the music room at Mesa Rica Primary School.
  • Acquisition of a new vehicle for the Music Program.
  • New soccer field at Mesa Rica Primary School.
  • Partnership with Live Music Now for a Scotland-Mexico cultural exchange through the Music Program.

2024

  • Planning and harvest of the first preschool garden in El Manzano.
  • Opening of a new dining hall at El Manzano Secondary School.
  • Implementation of a rural recycling program in Mesa Rica.
  • Creation of the Human Resources Department.
  • Establishment of the Communications Department.
  • Reopening of the Education Program with the launch of PAZ Project.
  • Initial music workshops in the Music Program.
  • Mexico-Scotland exchange, offering Music Program workshops.
  • Expansion of the Music Program (five active teachers in the field).
  • The Music Program benefits 371 students.
  • Three vehicles added to the foundation’s transportation fleet.
  • Annual concert and inauguration of the Telebachillerato dining hall.

2025

  • Opening of a new dining hall at the Mesa Rica Telebachillerato, the first in a high school-level institution in the State of Mexico.
  • Completion of PAZ Project in seven schools.
  • Support for Huntington’s disease patients in El Manzano in partnership with the Mexican Huntington’s Association, Legorreta Hernández Foundation, and Flor de La Paz Foundation.
  • Continuation of the Health Program with epidemiological monitoring.
  • Planning for the launch of a literacy project.
  • Renovation of the preschool classroom in El Manzano.
  • Ukulele workshops as part of the Music Program in La Huerta San Agustín.
  • The Music Program now benefits 415 students.
  • Launch of a new website.
  • Our community continues to grow.
